The USGS is divided into seven geographical regions. Alaska Region includes the state of Alaska. Norwest region includes the sates of: Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Pacific region includes the states of: California and Nevada. Southwest region includes the sates of Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. Midwest region includes the states of Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky and Ohio. Southeast region includes the sates of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennissee, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina. Northeast region includes the states of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
