The project, which was launched on August 9, 2012, in coordination with Vietnam’s Ministry of National Defense, will treat dioxin-contaminated soil and sediment through thermal desorption technology, making it safe by Vietnamese and U.S. standards. Dioxin remediation activities have received broad congressional support in Washington, particularly from Senator Patrick Leahy of Vermont. These programs will improve the environment and lives of the many men, women, and children who live and work in Danang.
