Parking

Patients and patient visitors have two options for free parking:

  • If you choose to self-park, go to the Patient Parking garage (P1), which is located to the west end of the building off Convent Drive. Parking attendants will be available to assist you. You'll enter the new hospital through a new lobby on the lower (B1) level. Stop by the Hospitality desk to validate your parking ticket. The South Elevators serve the parking garages.

  • If you'd prefer to use the valet parking service for patients and visitors, drive to the Clinical Center's new main entrance on Center Drive. Valet parking is available Monday through Friday, 7am – 7pm (excluding federal holidays). When you arrive, have your valet claim ticket validated at Hospitality desk.

Parking for other visitors

Visitors must park in designated visitor parking lots (see the NIH Street Map PDF Logo 3.77 MB). Visitor Parking is extremely difficult to find at NIH, so if at all possible, take public transportation.

Visitor parking (other than patient visitors) is available at a cost of $2 per hour for the first three hours or $12 per day.

Vehicles entering the underground parking area will be searched prior to entering the garage. Be sure to allow extra time for this vehicle inspection procedure.
