What is NIGMS?
The National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) is one of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. NIGMS supports basic research and training nationwide, increasing our understanding of life processes and laying the foundation for advances in disease diagnosis, treatment and prevention.
