The staff of the Helix Systems is responsible for intermediate and long range planning for the Helix Systems, response to users' problems, installation and maintenance of software, and related projects. The staff consists of system administrators and scientists who manage the systems, modify and develop applications and services for the NIH intramural community.

Operations Section

The Operations Section is responsible for the continuous operation of the Helix Systems, including backup of file systems, rebuilding of file systems after disk replacement, management of user tape mounting requests, and restoration of users' files upon request. They also notify vendors as needed for maintenance and repair.
