Artists: Sell your music on Google Play
The Google Play artist hub is your direct route to selling your music on Google Play and Android devices.
Who should use the artist hub?
Any musician can claim or create a new store page for Google Play. The store page includes your bio, photo, links and any original music you have available for sale, whether that's live recordings, studio tracks or new demos.
Independent artists who own the rights to distribute their music can do so using the artist hub. You will upload WAV or FLAC files, add album art, set prices and sharing preferences, and publish your album.
If you are signed to a record label or have an exclusive distribution deal, you should still claim your artist page so that you can add your own bio, photo and links, but check with your record label or distributor to see which of your albums are being delivered to Google already. Set your prices, keep the profit.
With Google Play you set your own price points for albums and tracks. You can quickly create limited time price reductions, or make some tracks available as album-only purchases. The choices are yours.
You keep 70% of what you take in, paid to you monthly (which may be subject to other applicable deductions).
One-time fee, unlimited albums.
Google Music has a one-time 25 USD setup fee for each artist page and keeps a 30% commission on your sales. There are no fees for uploading tracks, creating albums, making changes to existing albums, editing your artist page, or anything else within the artist hub.
You have the power to select and change what you sell, including new demos, live recordings and unreleased tracks.
