The courageous women of the Mississippi State Federation of Colored Women’s Clubs, Incorporated certainly planted their tap roots in deep and fertile soil when they organized our historical Federation of Colored Women Clubs in 1903. Following the organization of the National Association of Colored Women’s Clubs in 1896, many states, including Mississippi, joined forces as a means to combat the opposition of the political and economic discrimination that was rising and being manifested against Blacks in our society.

The National Association of Colored Women’s Clubs, Mississippi State Federation of Colored Women’s Clubs,  and other state associations have become a significant voice in national and international affairs.  These organizations, along with the Mississippi  State organizations, have contributed to the uplifting of the American way of life for over one hundred (100) years.

The members of the association are dedicated to raising to the highest level the lives of our youths, the moral standards,  and the civic life of African American individuals.  Women from this state and region have been pioneers and pathfinders in many areas.  The world has become a much better place because of the women who have touched the lives of many , many people.  The women of the Mississippi State Federation of Colored Women’s Clubs and Youth Affiliates are proud  to present this website for you to learn more about our renowned and historical organization.
