Julia (Brown) Asplund, Albuquerque: Active member of New Mexico Federation of Women’s Clubs (NMFWC), which was the leading suffrage organization in the state.

Harriet Grace (Nichols) Donohoo, Tucumcari: President of the Tucumcari Mother’s Club, which was affiliated with the New Mexico Federation of Women’s Clubs (NMFWC), which was the leading suffrage organization in the state.

Laura (Eppelsheimer) Frenger, Las Cruces: Organized New Mexico Federation of Women’s Clubs (NMFWC), which was the leading suffrage organization in the state.

A. A. Jones, Las Vegas: U.S. Senator from New Mexico, chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Woman Suffrage. He shepherded the 19th Amendment through the Senate and helped in the house. He was a true suffragist champion.

Aurora (Lucero) White Lea, Las Vegas (San Geronimo): She was the daughter of the 1st New Mexico Secretary of State. When Alice Paul sent CU organizers to New Mexico, one recognizing that Spanish-speaking women in New Mexico made up at least fifty percent of the female population, enlisted Aurora Lucero to deliver a speech in Spanish at an Albuquerque rally. Lucero was a bi-lingual educator from Las Vegas and she, like Otero Warren, was politically well connected. With Lucero’s help, the women designed and distributed a Spanish language promotional flier and Lucero then addressed the crowd, exhorting everyone to join the campaign. That effort produced positive results
