The National Susan B. Anthony Museum & House

Note: The Anthony Museum and its administrative offices will be closed on Thursday November 26 and Friday November 27, 2020, for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Normal tours resume on Saturday, November 28.

The National Susan B. Anthony Museum & House reopened its doors to the public for tours as of July 1, 2020, in line with New York State Phase 4 Guidelines for historical sites.

Admission to the Anthony Museum is through advance online reservations only. Note: Visitors over the age of two are required to wear a face covering on the Anthony Museum campus, according to New York State guidelines 

HOURS OF OPERATION:

Open Tuesdays through Sundays, and closed major holidays.
 
Admission:
$15.00 per adult
$10.00 per senior citizen, 62 & over, & active military
$5.00 per student
 
Your guided interpreted experience will be 45 minutes. For the safety of visitors, staff, and volunteers, much of the tour will be outdoors on the Anthony Museum campus, except for a walk-through of the first floor of the Susan B. Anthony House, featuring the front parlor where she was arrested for voting. Visitors will have the opportunity to browse the Museum Shop following their tour.
 

Note that in addition to the advance online sales of admission reservations, safety measures include:

  • Appropriate queue management
  • Limiting tour group size
  • One-way traffic flow
  • Increased cleaning of facilities
  • Introduction of hand sanitizer stations
  • Certain areas of the National Historic Landmark home and its Visitor Center will be off-limits to guests because of narrow spaces that make safe physical distancing impossible

The Anthony Museum will continue to follow and review up-to-date recommendations from New York State, and will modify tours if necessary.

Parking is available in the lot next to the Visitors Center at 19 Madison Street. On-street parking is also available. Please observe parking signs in this area. From the west:

  • Take the NY State Thruway (I-90 East) to I-490 East (exit 47).
  • Take 490 East to Downtown, Plymouth Avenue.
  • Take the Plymouth Avenue exit 13 and turn right onto North Plymouth Avenue.
  • Continue on Plymouth to Main Street and turn right.
  • Follow Main Street approximately one-half mile to Madison Street and turn right.
  • The National Susan B. Anthony Museum & House is on the left side of the street, halfway down the block.

From the east:

  • Take the NY State Thruway (I-90 West) to I-490 West (exit 45).
  • Take 490 West to the Broad Street/Plymouth Avenue exit 14.
  • Continue straight across Broad Street to Main Street and turn left.
  • Follow Main Street approximately one-half mile to Madison Street and turn right.
  • The National Susan B. Anthony Museum & House is on the left side of the street, halfway down the block.
