Several weeks ago, we posted a draft version of what the new SAMHSA.gov homepage might look like and asked for your feedback. The new page is still very much a work in progress, however posting the page at such an early stage gives your voice and your input an even greater role as this project moves forward.

Happy New Year! 2012 marks an important milestone for the behavioral health field. This year, SAMHSA turns 20!
The past 20 years have been very, very eventful for behavioral healthcare. In fact, these years have been so eventful that 1992 and 2012 bear very little resemblance to each other. The world is a sadder place today with the death of Don Cornelius, the visionary creator and host of “Soul Train.” We extend our heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends, and to all who knew and loved him either personally or by watching Soul Train over the years. He changed the world for the better and we will miss him.
