Database Import
The Database-Import facility lets you import database information from a CSV file.
The CSV file must be in the required format shown on the import page, matching the column formats and order. You will be given the chance to correct any entries which do not fit.
Date and Time |
Time is optional on date-only columns, date is optional on time-only columns and omitting AM/PM will assume a 24hr clock format. The permitted date/time formats are:
|
---|---|
URL | The correct format for a URL column is: visible text<URL> For example: Wikipedia Website<http://www.wikipedia.com> |
Auto columns | You must specify a value for each auto column in the database, but the value will be ignored during the import. |
Locked columns | You must specify a value for each locked column in the database. The value will be ignored if you do not have permission to update the locked column. |
If the CSV file can be read and parsed correctly, then the contents can be previewed before importing them into the database.
