Education Groups
At Jamestown Settlement and the Yorktown Victory Center – two of America’s most exciting outdoor classrooms – your students will love discovering the sights and sounds of the 17th and 18th centuries while learning about their nation’s history. And you’ll love the variety of curriculum-based education programs, all taught by trained museum educators and adapted to your grade level. Virginia Outreach Education
The Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation offers hands-on, inquiry-oriented outreach programs that bring history to life in your Virginia classroom. These programs correlate to Virginia Standards of Learning at elementary, middle and secondary levels and are endorsed by the National Council for the Social Studies.

Homeschool Programs
Hands-on history programs for home-educated students will be offered at Jamestown Settlement and the Yorktown Victory Center on an advance-reservation basis September 7-22, 2013. Learn more about 2013 homeschool programs. One-hour education programs for students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade are followed by a guided tour for participating students and their families of the museums' outdoor interpretive areas -- a Powhatan Indian village, 1600s replica ships, colonial fort and riverfront discovery area at Jamestown Settlement, and Continental Army encampment and 1780s farm at the Yorktown Victory Center. Education programs are taught by trained museum educators and address Virginia and United States history-curriculum objectives.
