Invasive Species Working Group: Research Summary and Expertise Directory (Dec 2009)
USDA. FS. Rocky Mountain Research Station.
Rocky Mountain Research Station personnel have scientific expertise in widely ranging disciplines and conduct multidisciplinary research on invasive species issues with emphasis in terrestrial and aquatic habitats throughout the Interior West, Great Plains, and related areas. RMRS invasive species research covers an array of diverse ecological and environmental gradients, from southwestern deserts to northern temperate rain forests and from low-elevation plains and basins to alpine summits.

MetroInvasive - Research
MetroInvasive.
Collaborative project between Federal Agencies and Universities researchers. Provides a perspective that considers urban areas as hubs of human-mediated invasions in natural and managed ecosystems and provides resources to enhance our understanding of the role of international trade in the dissemination of invasive species. Contains maps of hot spots for human-mediated invasions where early detection strategies could be implemented.

Multi-species Research
Pacific Northwest Invasive Plant Council.

National Institute of Invasive Species Science and Publications

DOI. USGS. Southeast Ecological Science Center.

Program of Research on the Economics of Invasive Species Management: Fiscal 2003-2011 Activities (May 2011)
USDA. Economic Research Service. Administrative Publication No. AP-056.
This report details the objectives and activities of PREISM and reports important accomplishments for fiscal years 2003-2011. Included are descriptions of the extramural research program and all funded projects, and a list of project outputs.

Report from Invasive Species Work Group (Jul 1, 2009)
USDA. National Agricultural Research, Extension, Education, and Economics Advisory Board (NAREEEAB).
At the Nov 2008 general meeting of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, Education and Economics Advisory Board (the Board), a focus session was held on the subject of Invasive Species. During this session, REE Mission Area staff as well as Land Grant University and stakeholder experts updated the Board with respect to current major research needs and other issues associated with invasive species management and control. From these presentations and the discussion that followed this focus session, the Board has summarized its observations and prepared comments for the USDA to consider.

Star Grants Awarded for Invasive Species Research (Oct 11, 2001)
Environmental Protection Agency.
Research grants totaling more than $3.5 million have been awarded to seven universities and one nonprofit agency to study invasive species in the United States.
