The Purple Loosestrife Project - K12 Educational Materials
Michigan Sea Grant.
Funded by the SeaGrant Program and developed at Michigan State University, the PLP provides educators with these 12 activities, which can be used as stand-alone or sequential units.  The lessons are hands-on activities that teach students the fundamentals of species invasion, biodiversity, assessment, growth and spread, and biocontrol.

Northeast Aquatic Plant Management Society.
The Northeast Aquatic Plant Management Society (NEAPMS) announces the availability of scholarship funds and/or student stipends for college students focusing in the field of aquatic plant management. Scholarships in the amount of $5,000 are available to graduate students that are studying some aspect of aquatic plant management or algal management. Student stipends up to $5,000 are available for undergraduate students working on a project related to aquatic plant management.
