Getting to the Board

Most candidates called to interview with the Federal Reserve Board will report to the Human Resources (HR) offices located at 1850 K Street, NW, 3rd floor, in Washington, DC.

Public Transportation Recommended

The Board’s HR staff strongly recommends using public transportation to reach interview locations (check the Washington Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority website to plan your trip and for more information).

  • K Street location. The Farragut West Metro station (on the Blue and Orange lines) is conveniently located near our K Street location, with access at 18th and I streets. Once you exit the station, enter the 1825 I Street Dickstein-Shapiro building (next to Starbucks). Walk toward the fountain and bear right, where you will see and enter at the sign labeled "1850 K Street."
  • C Street location. Some candidates may be asked to interview at the William McChesney Martin Building, located on C Street, NW, between 20th and 21st Streets. There is limited street and public parking near the Martin Building. As at the K Street location, HR staff strongly recommend using public transportation to visit the Martin building. The Foggy Bottom-GWU Metro station (on the Blue and Orange lines) is approximately a 15-minute walk from the Board.
  • New York Avenue location. The Board also has offices at 1709 New York Avenue where interviews take place. With limited street and public parking near the building as well, HR staff strongly recommend using public transportation to reach this location. The Farragut North (Red line) or Farragut West (Blue and Orange lines) is approximately a 15-minute walk away.

Traveling to Washington, DC

The Board's offices are convenient to Reagan National Airport and Union Station (AMTRAK) by either taxi or riding the DC Metro. From Dulles International Airport , you may take the Washington Flyer limousine to many downtown hotels. Candidates arriving from Baltimore/Washington International Airport may take the Super Shuttle or AMTRAK directly into Washington, D.C.
