Flu Vaccination Information for Veterans

Seasonal Flu Shots are now available for all registered and enrolled Veterans. 
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone over the age of 6 months receive an Influenza (Flu) Vaccine every year in the Fall. Additionally, a onetime Pneumococcal Vaccine (Pneumovax) is recommended at the age of 65.  Full Story

Evening for Heroes

On September 2, 2010, the Dorn VAMC hosted "An Evening for Heroes" dinner event at the 7Grill in Columbia, SC. The dinner event was part of a new initiative called, "The Buddy Program" sponsored by the Dorn VAMC. The Buddy Program is a voluntary program whose goal is to offer additional support to Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OEF/OIF) combat Veterans and their families. Full Story
