The UMLS Tools

The UMLS project produces a number of free tools to aid users:

• UMLS Teminology Services (UTS)
• MetamorphoSys
• Sample Load Scripts and Data Model
• RRF Subset Browser

Tools can be accessed on the Internet through the UTS or through the UMLS DVD.

While this course does not cover tools in depth, users are encouraged to access the tools for personal exploration. The UMLS project is constantly changing, new tools and new versions of tools are bundled with each release.
