OVC Resource Center

The Office for Victims of Crime Resource Center (OVCRC) is part of the National Criminal Justice Reference Service (NCJRS), a federally sponsored information clearinghouse for people who are involved with research, policy, and practice related to criminal justice, juvenile justice, victim assistance, and drug control. In this capacity, NCJRS is responsible for providing OVC’s publications and program information to victim services and allied professionals. You can access related resources and assistance via—

  • NCJRS Abstracts Database—an online searchable database of abstracts, including Federal, State, and local government reports, books, research reports, journal articles, and unpublished research. Visit the Weekly Accessions List for a listing of documents added to the NCJRS Abstracts Database each week.
  • JUSTINFO—the biweekly electronic newsletter covering announcements and recent releases of the NCJRS Federal sponsor agencies, including OVC.
  • NCJRS Q&A Database a searchable knowledge base with answers to questions covering the entire field of justice. To access frequent questions that are crime-victim specific, visit the OVC FAQ database.
  • Content Specialists to answer your questions. Staff can offer referrals, discuss publications, and search for additional resources.
