Opportunities and Challenges for FY 2009

Some of the major activities on the FY 2009 agenda are:

  • * Plan and execute the IAE Acquisition Strategy focusing on aggregation to:
    •         - Reduce program costs
    •         - Shorten time to implement changes
    •         - Centralize help desk services
    •         - Provide a common hosting environment
    •         - Leverage economies of scale
  • * Transition services to the Acquisition Service Desk (ASD)
  • * Complete an award of the Architecture and Operations Contract Support (AOCS)    contract that will enable IAE to move all applications to an integrated architecture    where common business services can be shared
  • * Requirements planning for the Consolidated Hosting Services (CHS) contract
  • * Provide DHS and VA links to CCR
  • * Publish “Contractor Assessment in the Acquisition Process”
  • * Institute independent usability testing for all systems
  • * Release the “Federal Acquisition System Requirements”
  • * Improve and measure IAE customer satisfaction
  • * Collect subcontracting plans and workflow in eSRS
  • * Implement eSRS web services
