PAPERWORK REDUCTION ACT AND PRIVACY ACT STATEMENT-- REPORTING

According to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, no persons are required to respond to a collection of information unless such collection displays a valid OMB control number. The OMB control numbers for this collection are 0430-0004, 9000-0166, 9000-0167, 9000-0168, and 9000-0169 (expiration date 3/31/2010).

Pursuant to 5 U.S.C. 552a(e)(3), enacted into law by Section 3 of the Privacy Act of 1974 (Pub. L. 93-579), the following statement is furnished to individuals who supply information to the Section 1512 Data System (1512 Data System). This information is maintained in a system of records designated as RATB-9 and described in 74 Fed. Reg. 40155 (Aug. 11, 2009). Pursuant to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Pub. L. 111-5), the information reported will be used to provide the public with information as to how the government spends money, and also to assist with the prevention of fraud, waste, and mismanagement of Recovery funds. Specifically, 1512 Data System records will be used to collect information about recipients' use of Recovery funds, as well as to populate the public-facing website Recovery.gov. The system has additional uses that include: investigation of possible fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement of Recovery funds; litigation purposes related to information reported to the Board; and contacting the recipient in the event of a system modification or change to FederalReporting.gov, including the data elements required to be reported.

The Board may disclose information contained in a record in this system of records under the routine uses listed in the Federal Register (see 74 Fed. Reg. 40155, 40155-56) without the consent of the individual if the disclosure is compatible with the purposes for which the record was collected.
