About the Presenters

Nicole Callahan is a New Media Analyst at the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Federal Student Aid (FSA) where she manages the @FAFSA Twitter account, creates new media content, assists with policy and procedure development, engages in online customer listening and develops new media sites for FSA.

Prior to her current position, she completed a marketing internship at Sabre Hospitality Solutions and a social media internship with the U.S. Department of Education. She also served as a Federal Service Student Ambassador for the Partnership for Public Service.

Nicole graduated, May 2011, from the George Washington University School of Business.

Susan Thares is the Social Media Advisor for the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Federal Student Aid (FSA) where she plans and executes its social media strategy. Susan manages FSA's New Media Team, works across the agency and with key outside stakeholders to create a better customer experience.

Prior to this position, Susan served as Director of External Events in the Office of FSA and worked as a project manager.

Susan graduated from the University of South Dakota.

Lindsey Hitchcock is a Senior Consultant in Deloitte’s Federal Practice. She joined the firm in 2008 and served clients in the Department for Homeland Security and Department of Defense. In addition to client work, she was a Deloitte GovLab fellow and was on the implementation team for Deloitte’s enterprise social software, Yammer. Although she is in the Strategy and Operations service area, her primary interest is in the application of  innovative technologies to improve the way companies and organizations do business. 

Lindsey has a master's degree in Public Policy from American University. Her undergrad degree is from the University of Michigan.
