Call for Submissions: Goldstein Awards

The Center for Problem-Oriented Policing has announced a call for submissions for the 2011 Herman Goldstein Award for Excellence in Problem-Oriented Policing. The deadline to submit your project for consideration has been set for June 1, 2011.

The Goldstein Award, which will be presented at the 22nd Annual Problem-Oriented Policing Conference, recognizes innovative and effective problem-oriented policing (POP) projects that have achieved measurable success in resolving recurring specific crime, disorder or public safety problems faced by police and the community.

More information about proposal guidelines, copies of past award winners’ submissions, and the link to submit your project via online upload can be found at http://www.popcenter.org/goldstein. Should you have further questions, please contact the Goldstein awards coordinator and advisor, Dr. Rob Guerette, at goldstein@popcenter.org.

We look forward to seeing you at the 22nd Annual Problem-Oriented Policing Conference, which is being held October 10th-12th, 2011. The Conference is being hosted by the Miami Police Department and sponsored by the POP Center with support from the COPS Office. Please visit http://www.popcenter.org/conference/ for additional conference information and registration details.
