    June 2, 2010 – U.S. Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis visits John F. Kennedy Space Center to announce a $15 million National Emergency Grant to assist NASA workers who will be dislocated as a result of the impending retirement of the Space Shuttle Program.

    May 27, 2010 - U.S. Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development John R. Fernandez delivers a keynote address during the Super Regional Leadership Conference in Florida, hosted by the Tampa Bay Partnership and the Central Florida Partnership and meets with regional leaders to discuss the Obama Administration’s economic recovery plans for the Space Coast.

    April 29, 2010 - U.S. Economic Development Administration announces a $2 million grant to the Titusville-Cocoa Airport Authority of Titusville, Fla., to assist in the expansion of the Bristow Academy, a major helicopter pilot training facility, and create new central Florida aerospace sector jobs.
