New MedXPress - Moving Away From Paper
Anyone requiring a Medical Certificate or Student Pilot Medical Certificate can use MedXPress to electronically complete their
medical application (FAA Form 8500-8). Pilot participation in MedXPress is currently voluntary; however, as was recently
announced by the Federal Air Surgeon , the use of MedXPress is mandatory beginning October 1, 2012.
