Ceremony Information

Event Information

The IHS National Director's Award Ceremony has been rescheduled and will now be held at the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian on Thursday, August 2, 2012.

Key Dates

The 2011 IHS National Director's Award nominations must be initiated and signed by a nominator and the award nominee's supervisor, then concurred on by the Area Director (Areas only) or the respective Headquarters Deputy Director. A complete nomination includes the award justification, and award citation (award book write-up). The Area Award Coordinators will submit all complete nomination packages for submission through their respective Areas Awards Coordinator, and all Headquarter's staff will submit nomination forms to Verly Fairbanks, IHS HQ Award Coordinator/Contact. Complete nomination packages must be submitted by Area Award Coordinators on or before April 10, 2012 to receive consideration.
