CAMEO Training


September 19-21, 2012 in Plymouth, MA, The Massachusetts Association of Hazardous Materials Technicians has announced that this year’s 2012 Hazardous Materials Training Conference is being held September 19 - 21 at the Radisson Hotel Plymouth Harbor. Hotel rooms have been reserved at the special rate of $115 per day, single or double occupancy. For hotel information or room registration call 508-747-4900, (mention you are attending the conference). The conference format includes a general session each day and a variety of breakout sessions in the response area. September 26-28, 2012 in Yuba City, CA   Hazmat Technical Reference class at the California Specialized Training Institute.  Includes basic training in CAMEO Chemicals and ALOHA along with advanced exercises in both programs.  See the training website for details.

October 2, 2012 in Augusta, Maine, The Maine State Emergency Response Commission, Maine Emergency Management Agency and US EPA Region 1 will be conducting an Aloha class on October 2nd, 2012, at Maine Emergency Management Agency which is located at 45 Commerce Drive, Augusta, Maine. Lunch will be provided, however any other costs will be the responsibility of the attendee.

This program is an overview of hazards analysis as it relates to emergency planning for extremely hazardous substances (EHS) under The Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA).  The materials and software based on documents published by EPA, NOAA, DOT, and FEMA.  The course will focus on airborne releases of toxic chemicals with lethal effects.  For questions or to register by phone, fax or email, please contact:

November 7-9, 2012 in Saco, Maine, The Maine State Emergency Response Commission, Maine Emergency Management Agency and US EPA Region 1 will be conducting a CAMEO TTT prep for certification test course from November 7 - 9, 2012. At the conclusion of the classroom portion the NOAA/EPA certification exam will be administered.   This class will be held at the Ramada Inn which is located at 352 North Street, Saco, Maine.  For questions or to register by phone, fax or email, please contact:

On-Line CAMEO Training, University of California at Davis Extension

The University of California at Davis Extension provides two online CAMEO training courses.  CAMEO 1 consists of CAMEO Chemicals and ALOHA, and CAMEO 2 covers MARPLOT and CAMEOfm, plus integrating all aspects of CAMEO (CAMEO Chemicals, ALOHA, CAMEOfm, and MARPLOT) in a number of scenarios.  For more information, please call UC Davis Extension at (800) 752-0881 or click here.

Louisiana State University, National Center for Biomedical Research (NCBRT) offers DHS-certified courses covered under the NCBRT’s Homeland Security National Training Program Cooperative Agreement.  CAMEO introductory and advanced courses are included in this program.  As a DHS primary training provider, the NCBRT can offer this vital training at no direct cost to your agency.
