GOES-R Proving Ground Demonstrations
The GOES-R Proving Ground is where proxy and simulated GOES-R products are tested, evaluated, and integrated into operations before launch to maximize user readiness for GOES-R capabilities. The initial Proving Ground focus is on High Impact Weather and warning related products requested by the National Weather Service (NWS). Click on the links below to explore the GOES-R Proving Ground demonstrations.
1 Storm Prediction Center and Hazardous Weather Testbed (SPC / HWT)
2 Hurricane Season Experiment: National Hurricane Center (NHC)
3 Aviation Weather Experiment: Aviation Weather Center (AWC)
4 Ocean Prediction Center and Satellite Analysis Branch Demonstration (OPC)  /  Hydrometeorlogical Prediction Center and Satellite Analysis Branch Demonstration (HPC)
5 Air Quality (AQ) Experiment
