Feb 20 , 2013 Town Hall Meetings to Assist Nuclear Weapons Workers Staff from the Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC) will host two town hall meetings on Feb. 20, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. in Espanola, N.M., to discuss the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) and the medical benefits provided under the program. In addition, DEEOIC staff will also host two town hall meetings at 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on the same day to provide former Los Alamos National Laboratory workers with information concerning a new class of employees recently added to the Special Exposure Cohort of the EEOICPA. Staff from DEEOIC's Espanola Resource Center and Seattle District Office will also be available at the town hall meetings from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to assist individuals with questions regarding existing EEOICPA claims and with the filing of new claims under the EEOICPA. Mar 6 , 2013 Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory Program Public Forum OSHA will hold a public forum to discuss proposed interim policies regarding Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) Program independence, the initial application process and timeline, and renewal process. OSHA staff is currently re-examining several aspects of the NRTL Program and may propose new or revised guidelines. The meeting will serve as a forum to solicit input from stakeholders concerning specific issues related to the NRTL Program. NRTLs are third-party laboratories that meet OSHA’s requirements for performing safety testing and certification of products used in the workplace.
