1942 Graduated from Santa Ana Senior High School on June 11, 1942. Enlisted in U.S. Army Air Force on November 20, 1942..
1943-1946 Entry into Active Service on Feb. 20, 1943. Married to Betty Jeanne Reed on June 19, 1943 in Portland, OR. Honorable Discharge, Feb. 20, 1946.
1946-1947 Joined U.S. Weather Bureau as Meteorological Aide in Boise, Idaho. Left U.S. Weather Bureau to return to school.
