You can shop at the NIH Supply Center self-service stores with your valid Self-Service Charge (CAN) Card and NIH identification card.

How to obtain a CAN Card?
CAN cards may be obtained by contacting Gilbert Scott at the NIH Supply Center (301) 435-3668. However, all card requests must be approved by the IC's Executive Officer.

What to do for a lost or stolen CAN Card?
You must report a lost or stolen CAN card to the Division of Logistics Services (301) 496-3395. Lost or stolen cards will be canceled and therefore will not be honored for any future purchases.
