Naval Sea Logistics Center Portsmouth

The Naval Sea Logistics Center Portsmouth provides supplier performance and material quality support/services across a customer base that includes the Department of the Navy (DON), Joint Services, Department of Defense (DoD) as well as Federal and Civil Agencies.

Office personnel provide a broad range of analytical, technical, and project management expertise in evaluating material quality assurance and/or supplier performance programs to include management of automated information systems in support of these efforts.  The office is proactive in collecting, compiling, and providing data for both the acquisition and technical communities to:

  • facilitate and enhance assessment of supplier performance and material quality;
  • apply this information in the product and services acquisition process and contract award decisions; and
  • provide senior officials with relevant decision information on supplier performance to prompt policy and operational changes, revise technical requirements, and re-engineer business processes.

PPIRS LogoThe Past Performance Information Retrieval System (PPIRS) is a web-enabled, enterprise application that provides timely and pertinent contractor past performance information to the Department of Defense and Federal acquisition community for use in making source selection decisions. PPIRS assists acquisition officials by serving as the single source for contractor past performance data via use of the Report Card (RC) and Statistical Reporting (SR) modules.
