Transporting Children and Youth Experiencing Homelessness
This brief, part of NCHE's Law Into Practice series, explains the provisions of Subtitle VII-B of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act (reauthorized under Title X, Part C of the No Child Left Behind Act) related to the transportation of children and youth experiencing homelessness and offers strategies for implementing the law. Human Trafficking Into and Within the United States: A Review of the Literature
This August 2009 literature review from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services focuses on human trafficking into and within the United States by on surveying what the social science or other literature has found about the issues of identifying and effectively serving trafficking victims. The review highlights the phenomenon of “domestic trafficking” (trafficking involving U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents, often within the United States), the impact on domestic youth, and the availability and/or effectiveness of services for these victims.

Access to Food for Homeless and Highly Mobile Students
This brief, part of NCHE's Best Practices in Interagency Collaboration series, is designed for state and local child nutrition program administrators, cafeteria managers, State Coordinators for Homeless Education, and local homeless education liaisons. It explains the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Child Nutrition Division (CND) policies regarding eligibility for free school meals for certain homeless, migrant, runaway, and foster students; addresses frequently asked questions about implementing these policies; and offers tools to ensure that these students can access food both inside and outside of school.

Innocence Lost National Initiative
Innocence Lost is a joint initiative of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and the U.S. Department of Justice's Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section. The initiative aims to address the growing problem of domestic child sex slavery in the form of child prostitution in the United States. The initiative provides useful and informative resources about the issue of the commercial sexual exploitation of children, including fact sheets, posters, and social services indicator cards.

Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CESC) and Youth Homelessness
