Science Education

The National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) is sponsoring a Biomedical Engineering Summer Internship Program (BESIP) for undergraduate biomedical engineering students who have completed their junior year of college. This 10 week program allows rising senior biomedical engineering students to participate, under the mentorship of world class scientists, in cutting edge biomedical research projects in NIH laboratories in Bethesda, Maryland.

According to Vincent, the BESIP program is a unique educational opportunity. As the details of his internship unfold, it is apparent the program is a good fit, and that it's every bit the transitional, transformative experience Vincent hoped for.
