Founded in 1994, the Rural Center for AIDS/STD Prevention (RCAP) promotes HIV/STD prevention in rural America to reduce HIV/STD prevalence. A joint project of Indiana University, University of Colorado, and the University of Kentucky, RCAP is headquartered at Indiana University.

It is a very useful and informative site as it provides state-level information.
This sexually transmitted disease website provides (in simple and clear terminology) many resources, much information and is a good starting point for STD “101”. It lists individual STDs and their clinical presentation, treatments, prognosis, etc as well as risk factors for anyone who visits the site.
