Personal Assistance and Casework

As a United States Senator, helping Virginians is my highest priority. In order to respond to personal requests from across the Commonwealth, including navigating through federal agencies and assisting with casework, I have established offices with a staff that’s eager to help.
If you are a resident of Virginia and are in need of assistance with a federal agency, please feel free to contact my office and our team will provide appropriate advice and assistance.
If your case is a state or local issue that involves agencies in the Commonwealth of Virginia, it’s best for you to contact the Governor's office at http://www.governor.virginia.gov or your General Assembly representatives at http://conview.state.va.us/whosmy.nsf/main?openform for assistance. In addition, if your concern pertains to a county, city, or town matter, we recommend you contact that locality.

The rules of the Senate prohibit me from intervening in any legal matter, as these activities fall under the judicial branch of our government. Should you have legal issues to resolve, please contact the Virginia Lawyer Referral Service at http://www.vsb.org/vlrs/, the Virginia State Bar at http://www.vsb.org/, or the Virginia Legal Aid Society at http://www.vlas.org/.

If you have a case you would like to contact my office about, please fill out the web form under the “Contact Tim” tab.

Capitol Flag Requests

I am pleased to inform you that my office accepts requests to have an American flag flown over the United States Capitol. Many Virginians have American flags flown over the Capitol to honor family members, Eagle Scout awards, or to commemorate an anniversary or national holiday. This opportunity is available for all Virginians. To request a flag form, fill out the web-form under the “Contact Tim” tab.

Senate Internships

Students interning with one of my offices will have the opportunity to learn about the legislative process and get a firsthand look at how the federal government works. Full-time and part-time internships are available in my Washington, DC and Virginia offices year round. To learn more about an internship opportunity in my office, fill out the web-form under the “Contact Tim” tab.

U.S. Senate Youth Program

The United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP) is an intensive week-long educational experience and scholarship sponsored by the United States Senate for outstanding high school students who are interested in pursuing careers in public service. For more information, please visit the website www.ussenateyouth.org.

U.S. Senate Page Program

Living away from home and attending school with students from across the country allows Pages to experience a myriad of new ideas, perspectives, and issues. Pages meet some of the nation's most prominent leaders and witness firsthand the political debates of the United States Senate, often referred to as the "greatest deliberative body in the world."

There are four established page sessions. The academic year consists of two semesters which run from early September through mid-January and from mid-January through mid-June. The summer program consists of two sessions which are three or four weeks duration depending on the legislative calendar.

For more information on the Page program, fill out the web-form under the “Contact Tim” tab.
