The goal of this forum is to provide an opportunity for investigators to share existing and generate new knowledge about New Zealnd Mud Snail, to stimulate contacts and cooperation between scientists working with NZMS, to better understand the invasion process and identify methods for managing existing populations where they pose risks to ecosystems and biodiversity.

Native To: New Zealand

Date of U.S. Introduction: The snail was first found in the United States in the 1987 in the Snake River near Hagerman, Idaho (Bowler 1991).
