- Design for the Environment (DfE)
The DfE program works with individual industry sectors to compare and improve the performance and human health and environmental risks and costs of existing and alternative products, processes, and practices.
E3: Economy, Energy and Environment
E3 is an initiative that focuses on promoting sustainable manufacturing and economic growth throughout the United States. E3 brings together federal agencies, states and local communities for a broad discussion on how to connect respective programs to deliver responsive, coordinated solutions in a manufacturing environment. The E3 Framework facilitates collaboration among groups with common interests and a common agenda. This framework focuses on strengthening small to medium sized American manufacturers, which represent the largest proportion of the manufacturing sector. State and local communities use the E3 framework to help boost local economies to achieve their sustainability goals.Federal Electronics Challenge
The Federal Electronics Challenge (FEC) is a voluntary partnership program that encourages federal facilities and agencies purchase greener electronic products, reduce impacts of electronic products during use, and manage obsolete electronics in an environmentally safe way.Green Chemistry

(GSN) works with large manufacturers to target and engage key suppliers in customized, hands-on assessments of production processes to reduce energy consumption, minimize carbon footprint, increase productivity, and drive innovation. GSN is a collaboration between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Commerce and was established to help small and medium-sized manufacturers stay competitive and profitable while reducing their impact on the environment. INEAP was formed as one response to the growing need for collaboration among federal agencies to speak with one voice when addressing the needs of America's small and medium-sized businesses. The INEAP works to coordinate individual agency activities through effective communication and sharing of ideas. It encourages communication, interactions and collaborations with other non-federal organizations that can provide insight and information about the people they serve. The intent of the network is to focus on and support small and medium size businesses in the following areas: Technical Assistance, Sustainability, Technology Transfer Procurement, Business Management Assistance, Economic Development, Export, Finance, Finance, Workforce Training, Innovation, Energy Efficiency, Disaster Preparedness, Environmental improvements. Partnership for Sustainable Healthcare (PSH)
