Competitive Service Center at TTC

The Technology Transfer Center (TTC) is a designated Competitive Service Center (CSC) for technology transfer to other NIH Institutes and Centers (ICs). The CSC at TTC offers a range of services and works with each client IC to determine the IC's unique technology transfer needs.

Services Available

  • Assessment and consultation on Employee Invention Reports and patent strategy
  • Guidance on handling extramural inventions for which the grantee has declined title
  • Negotiation of technology transfer agreements, including CRADAs, MTAs, CTAs, and CDAs
  • Review, track and report on all IC active cases
  • Review, track and report on patent licenses and royalties
  • Train IC staff in matters of technology transfer related to their official duties
  • Serve as liaison to allied offices, such as NIH's Office of Technology Transfer and the NIH Office of General Counsel
  • Represent client IC's at scientific meetings and within the NIH community
