FOIA Reading Room

The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) allows any person the right to access various federal agency records. FOIA is often described as the law that keeps citizens in the know about their government under the FOIA. Agencies are required to automatically disclose certain information, including frequently requested records.

As a result, the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) has developed a FOIA Reading Room in the ICE FOIA Online Library to promote transparency and proactively disclose appropriate and relevant information to the public.

Visit the SEVP tab in the ICE FOIA Online Library to review statistical data on international students.

SEVIS by the Numbers

SEVIS by the Numbers (PPT | 1.1 MB) is a statistical breakdown of the system's performance and trends in foreign student representation in U.S. academic and exchange programs.
