The Work-Place Violence and Threatening Behavior Program is applicable to the following members of Team Coast Guard:

Purpose of Program
The Work-Place Violence and Threatening Behavior Program is intended to establish prevention and intervention policy and procedures for managing workplace violence and threatening behavior in the Coast Guard.

Requesting Services or Resources
These services or resources can be obtained by contacting the Employee Assistance Program Coordinator (EAPC) at your Regional Work-Life Staff. Work-Life Staffs are located at Integrated Support Commands CG-wide and at the Headquarters Support Command.

Related Program Information
Provision of a safe work environment is a command responsibility that cannot be delegated. Behaviors and actions defined above will not be tolerated. Only the commanding officer or civilian director of the organization in which the situation occurred may convene the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT). The Employee Assistance Program Coordinator on the Work-Life Staff shall coordinate the CIT meeting in accordance with policy.
