As part of a new effort to increase the use of a systems biology approach across the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC), the USACEHR is expanding its capabilities in genomics, proteomics and high performance computing. Systems biology offers tremendous opportunities to accelerate the pace of discovery for biomedical applications through the use of biological experimentation that is tightly linked to mathematical models and a better understanding of biological networks and molecular biology. With support from USAMRMC, USACEHR hopes to increase its efforts in this exciting area while contributing to Command-wide applications of systems biology approaches.
