Colonel Jeffrey C. Powell Financial Management School Commandant
Colonel Jeffrey C. “Jeff” Powell is a native of Bangor, Maine. He enlisted as a Private in Field Artillery entering active duty in 1983. Upon completing a two year enlistment, he attended the University of Maine and was commissioned in 1989. Colonel Powell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Maine, a Master’s of Business Administration from Syracuse University and a Master’s degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. His military education includes the Field Artillery Basic Course and Finance Advanced Course, Combined Arms and Services Staff School, the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, and the U.S. Army War College. During more than 25 years of active service, he has commanded and worked in key staff positions from Detachment to Theater, with duty in Afghanistan, Croatia, Germany, Italy and the United States.

The United State Army Soldier Support Institute, Collective Training Branch, Training Development Directorate announces Warfighter Training Support Packages (WTSPs), Conduct Resource Management Operations, Provide Technical Guidance to Financial Management Elements, Plan Financial Support for Theater Operations, Perform Automated Financial Operations, and Establish Theater Financial Support have been posted to the Army Training Network website https://atn.army.mil. These WTSPs can be used by leaders, trainers, and Soldiers for their individual review or self-development for Active and Reserve Component units.
The SSI Learning Resource Center is designed to provide access to the latest Adjutant General, Financial Management, and Recruiting and Retention training material. Resources are available for individual, collective, distributed learning to CAC (common access card) and AKO users.
