In the United States, roughly ten percent of people experiencing homelessness are veterans. Among this group of veterans, three out of four experience alcohol, drug, or mental health problems. Alcohol and drugs may be used by veterans to mitigate the effects of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and/or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
