One Day Escorted Visitor’s Pass

One Day Escorted Visitor’s Pass

Active Duty Military, DOD civilian employees or DOD contractors (SOFA Status personnel) assigned to USFK installations and properly registered in DBIDS may escort visitors onto the installation. Sponsors residing on the installation may request an Extended Visitor’s Pass (Please reference Extended Escorted Visitor Pass for Visiting Family Members/Friends).

Step 1.  Sign the visitor onto the installation.

  • IAW USFK Regulation 190-7, visitors being escorted onto the installation must be signed on by an individual (Sponsor) who is properly registered in DBIDS and authorized escort privileges.
  • Escorted personnel must present and or surrender one of the following documents to visitor center security personnel for verification of identity and in exchange for an escorted visitor pass:
  • Korean Nationals:  An official ROK Government ID Card bearing a photo (e.g. KID Card, Korean Driver’s License, Korean National Police Agency ID Card, ROK Military ID, ROK Ministry of National Defense ID, or Korean passport).

NOTE: A Korean Driver’s License is now considered a valid form of picture ID for the purpose of visitor registration, unless it is owned by a non-Korean National as determined by the driver’s license number.

  • Non-Korean Nationals:  Must present a valid passport for the purpose of verifying the visitor’s nationally. After security personnel record passport information, the passport is returned to the visitor who must then surrender another (different) valid form of photo ID in exchange for the visitor’s pass.  If the visitor possesses no other form of valid photo ID, the sponsor may surrender his/her valid photo ID in exchange for the visitor’s pass.

NOTE:  The sponsor may not surrender their personal DOD Military/U.S. Government issued ID card for this purpose.

Step 2.  Escort visitor onto the installation.

  • Visitor must be escorted at all times while on the installation.

Step 3.  Sign the visitor off the installation (De-register visitor from DBIDS).

  • Regardless of the duration the escorted visitor’s pass is valid for (24hr-72hr); the escort (sponsor) must either re-register or de-register their visitor from DBIDS at the ACP where they initially processed prior to the visitor pass expiration time.
